It was a big thrill when Daniel Morrison, my editor and writing guru at Fine Homebuilding, invited me to be part of a small group of people, including Carl Seville, Joe Lstiburek, Richard Defendorf and Martin Holliday, who were going to help him start an online encyclopedia of green building best practice. Over the years I’ve written a lot of articles that I hope have educated and entertained my peers. I’ve collected them here in hopes of introducing you to GBA and hopefully making you think about what a life in the home building industry can mean. I’ve had very few regrets and have found a great deal of satisfaction here.

6 NAHB-ICC National Green Building Standard - it's finally done, and that's a good thing, right?

10 Stuff from Joe Lstiburek's house part 2 - More stuff Joe thought we all should be thinking about.
11 Exhaust-Only Ventilation Systems - Slightly heretical, extremely efficient.
16 Work-Life Integration - You may love what you do but don't let it love you to death.
17 A $3,000 Bathtub? It’s an Emotional Thing - Bringing some fun into home designs.
19 Reflections on a Green Home Tour - When is a home green enough to bear the name?
20 ICC Code Hearings - Amending the code? making sausage? More similar than you might think.
